While these boots are very comfortable they are not waterproof. Hiking through the wet in the Western Arthurs Tas, the water penetrated the boots leaving my feet wet and cold.
Sorry to hear about this Nick, these are reliable, tried and tested boots, and your experience is not in line with others. There's one of two things happening if your Goretex lined boots are leaking, firstly, the moisture inside could be because of sweat from your feet. But if the inside of your boots is absolutely sodden, then there's only one other cause, and that is the water getting into your boots either in from the top of the boot if you are walking in long, wet grass, or through a fault in the lining. Long story short, you should expect that these boots won't leak, if you think the fault is with the lining then let us know so we can follow up a warranty claim for you. ~ Ben.
Sturdy, water proof, comfortable, stylish, perfect hiking shoe for long or short trekking.
There's no colour option should I just assume that it's as the picture represents and will come in Dark Tan?
That's correct, the dark tan colour is the only colour we have available for the Merrell Moab Mid GTX Men's Shoe.
If you've seen an alternative colour elsewhere, please let us know and we can investigate as to whether we can obtain it for you.
Hi, I am looking at boots for teenage son, who's heading to Vietnam for 1 month in December. I was advised not to buy Leather, as it takes a while to "wear in" and that it won't be as breathable and dry out. When I look at all of your boots online, they generally all seem to be a combo of leather or suede. I'm just wondering what you would advise and if this boot is suitable for his needs and fits in with what I've been told? Thanks, Jen. PS, I am bring son into Adelaide later in July.
