There's no colour option should I just assume that it's as the picture represents and will come in Dark Tan?

G'day Jac,
That's correct, the dark tan colour is the only colour we have available for the Merrell Moab Mid GTX Men's Shoe.
If you've seen an alternative colour elsewhere, please let us know and we can investigate as to whether we can obtain it for you.

Hi, I am looking at boots for teenage son, who's heading to Vietnam for 1 month in December. I was advised not to buy Leather, as it takes a while to "wear in" and that it won't be as breathable and dry out. When I look at all of your boots online, they generally all seem to be a combo of leather or suede. I'm just wondering what you would advise and if this boot is suitable for his needs and fits in with what I've been told? Thanks, Jen. PS, I am bring son into Adelaide later in July.

There is certainly some truth to what you have been advised Jenny, but I am quite certain the person who advised you is referring to full grain leather boots. A combination of leather and mesh fabrics such as the upper on this boot provides durability in a quick drying and lightweight package. The Merrel Moab Mid in particular is very comfortable right out of the box, and assuming it is the right fit for your son's foot would be a great choice. As for breathability, leather is naturally breathable, and is potentially just as breathable as a synthetic boot with a GoreTex liner. I am confident that we would have a number of choices that would be suitable for your son's feet and the activities he is undertaking in a variety of price brackets. I will pass your inquiry onto Lisa from our footwear department, the staff in that department when you visit will be more than happy to clear up any concerns and get some comfortable boots on your sons feet.
