240V to DC converter3 answers

Is the engle ac to dc converter suitable for the M14F

G'day Pete,

Unfortunately, the MD14F is only able to be used on 12V, there is no option to use this on 240V even via a converter.

**update August 2020 - turns out there was a translation error in the product manual, so despite the manual saying you can't, you can run these from the EDAC240V Converter.

I'm confused. Your answer states that the Engel MDF14 fridge freezer is not compatible with the Engel AC to DC converter. When I contacted Engel Australia recently they assured me that it was despite the fact that the Customer Information brochure that accompanied the purchase of the fridge states very emphatically that the fridge must only be run from a battery. You will understand my confusion.

I've spoken with Engel again today to clarify this as I was a bit confused too. Apparently there was a translation error in the catalogue and you can use the MD14F with the EDAC240C Converter.
