Sometimes a roadside pie is all that will suffice – so have ‘em hot to go with the Little Tacker Oven by Road Chef.
Controlled by a thermostat to heat to a maximum of 150 degrees – this pocket rocket of a tucker box boasts a fully insulated stainless steel construction and a 5.5-Amp element too, generating 66 watts at 12V DC for an oven that’s hot on quick, alfresco cooking between campsites! With a cigarette plug for convenience and a trivet for versatility, simply switch on and off thanks to an ergonomic design, and carry with care from the car boot to the picnic bench owing to its robust handle and hinge.
For a prompt pit stop that doesn’t sacrifice a hot lunch, tuck in with the Road Chef Little Tacker Oven.
Just wondering if the Road Chef Little Tacker gets hot externally when in use? Or just warm to touch? Wanting to use it in my truck when on the road, so hoping it won’t get too hot externally.
G'day Kaylee,
The oven does get hot on the outside, but not too hot to touch.
We usually recommend having a bit of ventilation and gap around the over wherever you install it.
As it is low power; can this be plugged into the car cig socket like the little travel buddy?
G'day Karen,
This will be ok plugged into your 10 Amp car socket with the Merit/Cigarette plug as it doesn't draw as much power as the larger Travel Ovens which require an Anderson connection.
The plug must be pushed firmly into the socket, if it is not connected properly or comes loose it can cause overheating or melting of the plug which is not covered under warranty.
