You can stop umming and ahhing about which sleeping bag to take on your next trip, as the Women’s Latitude LtII from Sea to Summit will provide enough warmth in cold climates, and the ability to adjust it for balmier evenings.
The Latitude LtII is a tapered and efficient bag that offers extra room around the chest and feet, and a full-length zip so you can open it right out in mild conditions. A differential cut construction combined with offset baffles and a tapered roomy foot section provide an amazing balance of warmth and comfort, all at just over 1kg. Nothing has been left out in the interest of saving weight, draft tube, neck baffle, three-dimensional hood and draw-cords to keep the warmth in, the Latitude is a fully featured bag.
The length of this bag is reduced for a closer fit, and the hip area is widened for added roominess for a women’s specific fit. Sick of cold feet? The women’s fit also comes with two combined down and Thermolite synthetic baffles under the foot area which will keep your heels and ankles warm in the area where feet can compress the down.
They’ve even included an internal zippered accessory pocket to keep your valuables close while you doze. Once compressed the Latitude takes up 9.4L of volume in your pack and comes with a laundry bag/storage cell for when your adventure is over. If you’re a gal after a lightweight bag that you can use all-year round on your outdoor adventures, then stop your search - the Sea to Summit Women’s Latitude LtII what you’ve been looking for.
Purchased 2 of these sleeping bags. had no problems with the bag itself however they smell quite bad. We have tried everything to remove the smell, however, have not been able to eradicate the smell. Unfortunately, staff offered very little redress to my husband when he complained. Disappointing due to the amount of money we spent. Buyers beware.
You're right - they're seriously good sleeping bags but unfortunately, they've been known to have that 'down' smell. One of our teammates here has a Latitude and says that the best way to combat the smell is frequent airing (in a shaded area) and a couple of fabric sachets every now and again.
I hope this helps. Laine :)
Hi ... my partner has an Long Lt3 w Left Hand Zip. Will I be able to connect this ok ... despite the length difference?
The zips are the same on the Sea to Summit Latitude WLtII Women's Sleeping Bag as it is on the unisex. This means that you can zip them together, you'll just have the slight length discrepancy, which you're already aware of.
I am hoping to zip this bag together with the sea to summit Trek 2 - this bags zip is on the left and hoping for a right zip so they can zip together so that both hoods are on the bottom
The Sea to Summit Womens Latitude Sleeping Bags only come in a right hand zipper with a #5 YKK slider that will match your left hand Sea to Summit Trek II nicely!
Looking to but the Women's Latitude 2
Don't worry, this confused me as well! The new Womens Latitude Sleeping Bags from are deliberatley 'warmer' than the unisex bags as women tend to sleep colder than men. So you're right, the Sea to Summit Latitude II Womens has the same temerature ratings as the Sea to Summit Latitude III, just with a revised shape.
