Keep comfy and warm every night, no matter where you’re staying on your travels with the JoII Sleeping Bag from Sea to Summit.
This bag is cut to be wider at the hip and narrower at the shoulder for a women’s specific fit and is a classic tapered rectangular shape. The Journey Jo2 has a comfort temperature rating of -8°C, and a lower limit -15°C so it’s better suited to those who feel the cold, or for use in cooler conditions. It’s filled with easy to compress R.D.S certified 650+ loft ultra-dry down which provides superb insulation. This bag also features extra down overall and Thermolite insulation panels in the foot area for more warmth.
The vertical chest baffles prevent cold spots, the additional neck collar draft tube traps warmth and the lightweight 30D nylon with soft touch breathable 20D lining keep the weight and bulk down. Open it up to use it as a quilt thanks to the full-length side zip when it’s warm, or stick out your feet by opening up the separate foot zip if you need to ventilate. The zipper won’t get caught as there’s anti-snag material on the oversized zip draft tube, you can draw in the panelled hood to keep your head snug and keep your valuables handy in the internal security pocket.
The reliable and women’s specific Journey JoII Sleeping Bag from Sea to Summit is ideal for accompanying you on your backpacking, hut camping or hostel adventures.

Hi, I'm 168cm tall. Wondering if the regular would be ok or should I go for the long?
Leanne - Conder, ACT(8 months ago)
I'm 171cm tall and around a size AU 14, and I'd want to go up to the long. I'd say if you're 168cm you'd be ok, but check out around the 3:15min mark of our product video as I run through the size and overall comfort whilst I'm in the bag. That might help make up your mind!

Just to add another opinion for people unsure about what size to get…I am 168cm tall and, after trying both sizes, I went with the regular length. It provides enough room for me to stretch out and move around and there isn’t all the excess bag at the end of my feet.

Hydrophobic down1 answer
I have read that some down bags have a hydrophobic treatment, is that the case here?
Larissa - Melbourne, VIC(11 months ago)
Yes, the Journey Jo2 has hydrophobic down, Sea to Summit uses RDS 650 Loft ULTRA-DRY Down™.

so will a long trek 2 and a long jo2 zip together ok1 answer
looking at purchasing a long trek 2 and long jo 2 if they join together...or do you have other recommendations?
bron - 4655(1 year ago)
They sure will, the Trek and Journey models have zip coupling and will join together with no worries at all. If you're looking for another option and have a little more $$ available, then the Altitude and Ascent are also a great combo.

to join these and make a double do you need to purchase one right hand zipper and one left? is it possible to join three and make a 3 person bag (hiking with 2 kids)?
steve - Alice(1 year ago)
The Journey sleeping bag is a women's specific bag with a right-hand zipper, it can only be zipped to a unisex bag with a left-hand zipper - e.g. the Sea to Summit - Trek range. There aren't any means to zip 3 together, unfortunately.

Hi There, I am trying to compare this bag with scent Ac3 Sleeping Bag. Apart from 750 loft down, which makes temperature rate to -11C, there is no other significant difference between this bag and AC3. Would you be able to provide why the price for AC3 is much higher (about A$120) than this bag? I am intended to use a sleeping bag for overland track Tasmania. which bag do you suggest? thanks
Nay - Sydney(1 year ago)
The Journey Jo2 is a Women's specific bag with 650 loft down, and a right-hand side zipper. The equivalent unisex bag is the Trek TK3 model. The Ascent Ac3 has 750 loft down, a left-hand side zipper and a half zipper on the right-hand side. The Women's specific equivalent to this bag is the Altitude At2. The main differences between the two ranges are the rating of the down, as well as the external sleeping bag material. Feel free to give us a call, but if you're looking for a top-quality women's specific bag we'd suggest the Altitude At2.

Is there only one size . Just want to make sure I am considering correct length. This one is up 183cm correct? I am around 174 cm tall..is this best match
Ali - Burnie(3 years ago)
This sleeping bag comes in 2 sizes - Regular and Long which can be picked above in the box above the price. In your case, the Long will suit your length perfectly and give you a good amount of room to stretch out!

Compression bag size1 answer
What are the dimensions of it when it's in the compression bag?
Joscelyn - Dimboola(3 years ago)
The Journey Jo2 packs into a medium sized stuff sack with a 15L total volume and approximately 10L compressed volume. The packed dimensions we have listed are 44cmL (this is the total length of the stuff sack when not compressed) x 20cmW. When the bag is compressed in the sack we'd expect it to reduce down by at least one third.
