Hi, I have the sam Primuse Kinjia stove and I'd like to use a standard 2kg gas bottle as well. That stove does not use the Coleman type of canister, it uses the other type that's compatible with Jetboil. Not sure what the name of the valve is, but we're in the search of that kind of adapter. Cheers.
G'day Jaoquim,
Unfortunately as far as we're aware there isn't an adapter that will allow a stove that runs off isopro fuel, to run off LPG. They're different gas types and have different distribution and fueling rates.
Adapters are generally only available for different fittings on different canisters of the SAME type of gas. Eg. Coleman cannisters are Propane. BBQ or Larger gas cylinders are also propane. Jetboil style cannisters are not propane.
I have a Coleman gas stove with their 2 Burner Stove Regulator Assembly. Does the companion internal valve end of the adapter fit the Coleman/BOM/UNEF end of the Coleman 2 Burner Stove Regulator Assembly?
G'day Brian,
Sorry mate, this adapter won't suit your needs, it is designed to convert newer stoves with a 3/8" BSP thread, to be used on older style Primus internal thread gas bottles. If you let us know what you're trying to do via return email, we can have a look at options for you and let you know.
Is the LH thread coarse or fine? So which orange high pressure hose will I need to go onto it - coarse or fine.
G'day Tony,
The adapter end is the same, regardless of which hose you choose as it's a standard BSP attachment.
The fine or coarse end relates to your stove connection, which you'll need double-check.
If the stove you have is one we stock I can physically check, but otherwise I wont be able to give you that answer sorry!
I have a Primus Kenjia stove that runs on disposable gas bottles, but I would like to run it on a 3/8" BSP refillable gas bottle. Is this the right adapter?
G'day Sean,
This adapter is designed for very old Primus stoves (20 years old) that ran from refillable gas cylinders with a primus internal thread on them. I think your stove might run off disposable propane cylinders like this Coleman one? If so, then this BOM to 3/8" BSP hose should do the trick, however as we don't sell the Swedish Primus it's hard to know for sure, so it would be worth checking compatibility.
Hi Leece, you are correct, I have the same stove and use the adapter hose to connect to a 2kg gas bottle. Works fine, however you end up with a very long hose. I wished I could find a straight adapter to connect the BOM connector coming from the stove regulator to the 3/8LH connection on the gas bottle. No luck so far. Any suggestions?
G'day Johan,
We've not even come across an straight adapter for that sorry - only even seen that connection with a hose.
Speaking to one of the stove companies not to long ago, it has something to do with the pressure in an LPG cylinder and the rate of delivery, aswell as safety.
Usually any LPG connection will be via hose of 80-120cm.
