Sizing question1 answer
Have been looking at size guide & I seem to straddle M & L (usually wear Euro 40, US 9 & UK 7), which would you suggest? Or get 1 of each & see which fits best?
Alex - Melbourne, VIC(1 year ago)
G'day Alex,
I'm an EU 40 and US 9, and I wear the large in Bridgedale womens socks. I do have quite a wide foot so feel like the fit is pretty much bang on, and I like my toes to be able to wiggle easily. I wouldn't recommend the Medium unless you like a really tight sock.

Bridgedale socks1 answer
I'm a size 41 and the Bridgedale size guide says I should be a L (41 to 43), but I'm worried that they'll be too big (I like snug socks). Do you think M would fit me? Next, if I buy 2 pairs, and I try on one pair - can I return the other pair for an exchange (unopened and not tried on?) Thanks.
Jess - Point Lonsdale, VIC(3 years ago)
G'day Jess,
Based on the size guide you should stick with the Large. As they are a knitted high quality sock, they will conform to your foot shape/size well. If you prefer a super snug fit you could probably get the Medium, although they'd be quite stretched out, and might not be as comfortable.
Unfortunately, we're not able to accept any socks for return/exchange due to hygiene issues.

Difference between this and Hike Comfort Midweight Wmn's Boot Sock $29.901 answer
I am looking for a socks for hiking. Cushioning, moisture wicking and breathability are important. I am thinking of lightweight or midweight as I hike in Western Australia and it's not that cold here. Is the cushioning of the midweight socks much better than the lightweight?
Ruby - Kardinya(4 years ago)
G'day Ruby,
The Midweight Performance socks are slightly warmer and more cushioned (higher wool content), and the Comfort Midweight have a stretchier top. Both of these can be used in warmer and colder conditions. The lightweight socks are for all conditions too - they work well with a shoe. The midweight are more cushioned than the lightweight, and would probably be better to use with boots.
