G'day Kath,
This mat has an ASTM tested R-Value of 3, which is on the lower side for insulation. It's worth noting that all sleeping bags, with the EN standardised testing for comfort ratings, are done on a sleeping mat with an R-Value of 4. This means that on a mat with a lower rating than that, you're sleeping bag won't be as warm either. I'd personally aim to look at a mat with a higher R-value. Hope that helps!

Will this mat support my weight of around 100kgs?1 answer
Asking because I have had various light weight hiking/camping mats that have split down the side. Annoying when you are well of the beaten track.

These are relatively new to us, Ian so I can't comment on their long term durability, but the mats don't come with a weight rating specifically. I can pretty confidently say that most mats are designed for well in excess of 100kg though, this mat shouldn't be any exception. As long as you're not doing acrobatics on it you should be fine.
