• Good headroom throughout
• Dual side vestibules are invaluable for storage of boots, pack, wet or muddy gear, etc.
• The ripstop polyester PU fly and floor materials anad heat-taped seams ensure water repellency in bad weather

best tent ever

We travelled over 14,000kms down through Central Australia, around Tasmania and back up the East Coast two up on a motorbike on roads with the most bends we could find and camped most of the time. This was the best tent ever. Easy to erect and light to carry on the bike. Highly recommend this tent to anyone looking for a new tent.

Nice Tent

Easy to put up and down. Lots of space. Was tossing up between the Isopod and this and am happy with the extra space (fits a double mattress and bags easily).

Awesome Tent!

Purchased this tent from snowys and couldn't be happier. You can tell its a good quality tent from material on the fly to the points on the pegs. Comfortably fits 2 people with bags and packs away nicely in a bag thats not impossibly small.

BlackWolf Grasshopper 3

Recently took this on an overnighter for myself and partner, nice and roomy and super easy to put together. At 3kg a little heavy but fine if split between two. Good product at an affordable price.

Thanks for posting such a helpful review Oliver.

can it be set up easy by one person1 answers

Looking at buying this tent, but how easy is it to set up by one person, the 2 person version of this tent i just fit in so i am looking at this one. will be doing a lot of hiking and beach camping, normally by myself

It is always easier with two people Mark, but perfectly manageable by one. Pitching a tent by yourself just takes a little longer, and some careful handling to ensure one pole end doesn't come out as you attempt to place the other. You'll work out a system after doing it once or twice.

What are the dimensions of the tent when packed up?1 answers

- MURWILLUMBAH, NSW(9 months ago)
Hi Janelle, I've added these details to our website for both the Grasshopper 2 and 3. Packed dimensions for the Grasshopper 3 are 50 cm in length and 26 cm diameter.

Is this a 3 or 4 season tent? Thanks. 1 answers

- 3089(1 year ago)
The Grasshopper, with a full mesh inner, would be classed as a 3 season tent Lilian. It could still be used in some four season conditions but it is important to understand its limitations. In the case of the Grasshopper, it will perform well in wet and windy conditions, but does not have a pole structure suitable for snow conditions, nor will it retain the same amount of heat as a tent with a full nylon inner.

Midgie Proof No-See-Um Mesh?1 answers

Hi Team, I am frequently camping in midgie areas and wish to know if the mesh in this tent is exactly the same, if not better material than the Black Wolf "Stealth Mesh" tent, for keeping out midgies, please? This is a critical factor for me. I would need to return item if the mesh doesn't satisfy this standard exactly. Also, I am unable to locate any video reviews online for this tent. Are you aware of any? Thanks for your patience in satisfying this question. Cheers. Kind regards, Lindon

- Buderim(1 year ago)
Hi Lindon, I compared the mesh on our display tents, and it both feels and looks to be exactly the same, so it would offer the same midge protection that a Black Wolf Stealth would. Black Wolf use the same mesh across their whole hiking range. With regards to video reviews, I am not aware of any, but I know that the pole structure is used quite widely in 3 season tents and it creates a reliable, stable and roomy structure. It is suitably waterproof for all but the worst of Australian conditions but is most suited to mild, humid or warm weather.
