Designed specifically for women with narrow shoulder straps, and a conical shaped hip belt, the Deuter Futura 24 SL is a technical top-loading pack for adventurous females.

The Aircomfort Flexlite Back System of the Futura 24 SL is made with their Slimline (SL) Womens Fit System providing a shorter back length, a conically shaped hip belt, and shorter narrower shoulder straps. That being said, the gender neutral colours available make the Deuter SL fit suitable for males with shorter back lengths also.

An internal divider keeps gear organised along with accessory pockets in the lid, on the front and sides, and integrated into the hip belt. The Futura 24 SL is compact, lightweight and technical.

Dimensions - shoulder to hip?1 answer

Hi, I'm seeking a replacement for my wife's current pack, which fits her well. Her current pack measures 45cm from the 'peak' of the shoulder strap to the middle of the hip. Is there any chance you could check the same dimension on this pack (ie top of shoulder strap to middle of waist band)? Thanks :)

G'day Josh,

Armed with my trusty tape measure, I've just wondered to the shop floor to measure one of the Deuter Futura 24 SL Daypacks for you. From the top of the shoulder strap to the middle of the waist measured about 39cm. Keeping in mind that I took that measurement with the bag laying on its front, I'm not sure how you took the measurement of your wife's bag but we might be a couple of centimetres out either way.

I'm looking for a pack for my 9yo girl, could I maybe have the smallest waist/hip measurement this bag can go to? Or is there a pack you can recommend? Looking at approx 25L

G'day Jen,

The two options I would recommend considering are the Deuter Airlite Daypack (The SL Models are women's specific) or the Black Wolf Classic Day Pack. The Deuter pack you can purchase as either a 22L or 26L and it a much longer lasting quality bag, where as the Black Wolf only comes in 25L, has a range of colours available but is not as durable as the Deuter pack.
