If you’re searching for a compact and efficient sleeping bag for performance when every gram matters, then the Flame Fm1 from Sea to Summit is the ultimate choice.
This bag has a contoured mummy design which is wider at the hips and narrower at the shoulders for a women’s specific fit. The Flame is constructed from premium materials and is filled with RDS 850+ Loft premium goose down which has a water-repellent treatment to protect it from condensation and external moisture.
The sewn through box baffle construction keeps the down in position without adding extra bulk, while the minimal 10D nylon shell and 7D liner and light gauge ½ #3 YKK zip doesn't add unnecessary weight. Providing a 9°C comfort rating and a 4°C lower limit, this bag is designed for warm or mild conditions.
The Flame Fm1 provides performance without the excess, so you can sleep comfortably on your technical expeditions.

Hi guys, just checking if this bag is compatible for connecting together with the Ascent Ac1? Or if not what other similar options might be in this price range?

G'day Michael,
The Flame & Spark bags from the previous season are not compatible with the other bags in the range as the dont have the full length zips and the free flow zip system. The closest option we have to that pricepoint that will work with the Ascent Ac1 is the Journey Jo1 bag

Liner1 answer
Hey guys, can the flame 1 be used as a liner like the fame 0? I have the flame 4 and hoping to use this as a liner… if it fits

G'day El,
We've had a similar question on the mens Spark 1 bag, so I'll pop that answer here aswell because the same info applies.
Whilst the Fm0 can be used as a sleeping bag, it has specifically been designed as a liner. That's not the case with the Fm1 which is a stand-alone sleeping bag, and has slightly larger dimensions. It's not going to fit in another flame bag very well, and you'll likely end up compressing the loft in either one or both of your sleeping bags which will create cold spots, and affect performance.
If you are wanting something with a higher warmth rating than the Fm0 consider looking at the Ember EB1 Quilt. These have been designed not only to use on their own, but also as an additional layer to increase the comfort rating of existing sleeping bags.
It's marginally heavier and bigger packed than the Fm1, but will give your sleep system a lot of extra flexibility.
