The fork, we believe, is not made out of stainless steel as advertised, Possibly gal dipped only. handle poor quality, see photo's.
Oh bugger, we've really stuffed up here. You're totally correct - it's steel which has been coated. We really appreciate you letting us know Brett - we've made the change online. Please let us know if we can do anything further. Cheers, Laine :)
Quite well made. Works great. No more red knuckles. Toasting is fun again.
Ok Snowys, Why do you state in this section that the fork is only made of steel, then advertise it as being made of Stainless Steel? We paid the "premium" price believing that it was indeed Stainless Steel as advertised, otherwise we would not have purchased the fork, as Gal is toxic, if that is what it is dipped in! A few of us are quite annoyed that Snowys advertise in such a way. Brett
Hi Brett, firstly apologies for the confusion here, we have absolutely no intention of misleading our customers, in fact we endeavor to achieve quite the opposite by offering independent product descriptions and specifications for all our products. This being said, for some reason, I can't and won't even try to explain why, the material for this fork was listed as stainless steel. Upon you bringing it to our attention we updated the information to what Hillbilly claim to be a non-toxic plated steel. However, at the end of the day you didn't get what you thought you were paying for and we want to make this right for you. I'll let our customer service team know of this error, please get in touch with them via [email protected] or 1300 914 007 and they will be able to organise a return/refund if this is what you would like to do. Once again, I apologise for the inconvenience.
This is quiet a bit more expensive than the campfire version. I'm sure it's better quality, but in what ways? Thanks.
Also, Australian Made.
