Hi, If we wanted to zip two bags together do we need one left hand zipper and one right?

I've just checked this out for you and it looks like Black Wolf won't be making the Eskimo 300 for their 2017/18 season. They will be bringing out new kids sleeping bags very soon though however.
Unfortunately, we do only have a limited amount left, but at least you can grab one at a great price!

Apart from the obvious 5 degree difference, does it matter which one I buy? We only go camping in the Spring/Summer and Autumn, and it doesn't get too cold in the tent. There's barely a price difference. Why would anyone buy the 0°C bag? Is the packed size much different?

The main difference is the temperature rating, as the Eskimo 250 has less filling so it's not as warm and is therefore also slightly lighter. Both Eskimo bags also have the same packed dimensions which are 32L x 16W x 16H cm.
The -5°C rated bag (Eskimo 300) offers a lower rating so you could use it in winter as well as the other seasons. The 0°C bag is an option to those who are hot sleepers or who don’t need a bag that’s rated to -5°C.

156cm small adult1 answer
The specs says maximum user height is 170cm, however, it also says "suitable for shorter adults up to 145cm tall", which is a bit confusing. Is it 170cm or 145cm? I'm 156cm and 50kg. Would I fit? I don't want to have my shoulders sticking out as that would defeat the purpose of having a sleeping bag rated to -5 degrees. Thanks.

G'day Christine,
As far as I can find 145cm is what Black Wolf recommends as the user height, but I think we have put 170cm because the entire length of the bag is 180cm but from looking at the bag more closely I think that spec is a bit off so I'll make sure that gets updated.
I've laid out the tape measure to your height (156cm) on the bag, I don't believe your shoulders will stick out of the bag as that height comes up to the middle of the hood, but it may be a bit too snug across the chest and foot so that's something to keep in mind.

The best thing for most sleeping bags is a good hand wash. This one is machine washable, but you should only use a front loading washine machine on a gentle cycle.Â

Hi, I have two toddlers and I am looking at these bags.... Do you think the -5 is too warm for them??? We are in WA and its going to be rare that it gets that cold.... just mulling over if we should get the 0 degrees ones instead??

Hi Paul, these bags are suitable for year round use. Keep in mind that if it's a warmer night, it's easy enough to undo the sleeping bag a bit or to open it up completely so that it's not too warm, but if it's a chilly night you'll be glad for the extra warmth.

These will be fine for warm weather Erica. My daughter uses hers all year round, we just need to unzip it a little on warm nights, or open it right out to create a doona.

Firmly compressed the Eskimo 300 measures approximately 30cm long and 18cm diameter Rosie. They are great value kids bags, I have one for my daughter and use it all year round.
