When you’re carrying a heavy pack and walking long distances, then the hardy and supportive Eriksson GTX Boots from Vasque will keep you steady.

The upper is constructed from waterproof full grain leather, has a laser etched rubber rand, and low friction metal hardware which work together to provide your feet with full protection. This model also has a slightly higher cuff which adds extra stability for your ankle. Comfort is provided by the three-part midsole and the Gore-tex lining keeps water out while also allowing for breathability.

Grip is provided by the rugged Vibram sole which has 5mm lugs for multi-directional traction on all kinds of terrain. The supple, and supportive Erikkson GTX from Vasque will ensure you’re sure-footed on a long backpacking or trekking expedition.

Sizing between Keen brand1 answer

Hi - I wear an 11.5 US in Keen which is perfect. Are the sizing between these two brands comparable? Cheers!

G'day Blake,

Both the Keen and Vasque Boots have a fairly wide fit, and both adhere to the same size chart so we'd be pretty certain you'll be the same size in the Vasque as you are in the Keen.

I have a 28 cm foot, typically wear 44 (north face hedgehog),these are snug, would you recommend a 45/46 for hiking to give enough room but not float?

G'day Paul,

I've had a chat with our shoe expert, Lisa. She said that the Vasque Eriksson GTX Men's Boot is a little wider than the North Face Hedgehog, so it might be a little roomier to start with. The size 11US (44EU) on the Vasque is 29cm long so would probably be about the right mark for your 28cm foot.
