If you want a stretcher with space and shelter to hang out when you’re not slumbering, then look no further than the Easy Fold Single Stretcher Shelter from OZtrail.
Bringing in the design elements of an Easy Fold type shelter, this stretcher has a separate removable heavy-duty Ripstop flysheet with a large expandable awning to give you comfort and protection from the weather - plus the option to use it as a vestibule storage area if you need. The base incorporates a central vertical stabiliser for increased structural support plus a mesh shelf underneath the bed so you can stow your boots or other gear out of the weather without bringing dirt into your sleeping area. Awning poles are included as are the guy ropes which are pre-attached and can be tucked away into the specially designed pockets built into the fly.
There’s easy access to the interior through an oversized D-shaped door and the permanently attached sleeping enclosure offers top-notch breathability with No-See-Um ultra-fine mesh windows and total insect protection. No worries if the wind blows the rain at you either, as with DryGuard Plus shielding the windows and storm flaps that Velcro together - you're protected.
With Duraplus Fibreglass poles and stainless steel joiners for maximum durability, OZtrail’s Easy Fold Single Stretcher Shelter offers an A-grade easy sleeping solution for anyone wanting to be off the ground with a little extra protection.

Inside pockets1 answer
Does it have any side pockets inside, and how many if any?
Sali - Chullora, NSW(3 years ago)
G'day Sali,
Yes, there is one large pocket on the front left-hand side of the doorway. Big enough to fit a book, keys, phone, torch, etc.

Comparison with easy fold stretcher tent1 answer
Just wondering how this compares to the oztrail easy fold stretcher tent. Are the materials the same? This looks a little larger sleeping area. Would you recommend this or stretcher tent for colder climates? Would you also need a mattress on this or can do without? Thanks
Colin - Foster, VIC(3 years ago)
G'day Colin,
They're essentially the same in terms of materials and manufacturing quality. The Shelter version is slightly larger internally, and obviously will give you additional space, but it is overall a heavier option. Both tents can be used without a mattress, much like a standard stretcher bed, however, a lot of people opt to add one for extra comfort & warmth. In terms of colder climates no tent will really keep you warm, although canvas options have better insulative properties. It is really important to note that Oztrail does not test for a waterhead rating. This means that neither of these tents are actually waterproof. If you expect to be in wet weather, or situations when you'll get heavy frosts and morning dew, you'd be best placed to upgrade to an alternative.

Which is the best foam mattress to use with this1 answer
Which is the best foam mattress to use with this
Pauline - Boronia(3 years ago)
G'day Pauline,
The Oztrail Camp Mat Jumbo or the Darche 900 Swag Mattress will both fit, however, the Darche option is available in two thicknesses, and is a little wider and longer, so will better fill the entire space.

Window 1 answer
Hi How many windows does it have?
Lyn - Grafton (3 years ago)
G'day Lyn,
There is the front D-shaped door that acts as a window when the front awning is up. The other three sides have internal mesh windows for ventilation however they aren't able to be seen out of with the fly on.

Pros & Cons1 answer
I’m trying to decide between the Easy Fold Stretcher Shelter vs Ultimate All Weather Single Stretcher, can you tell me the pros & cons of them? I cant see a video of the Easy Fold Stretcher setup & pack down?
Lyn - Grafton (3 years ago)
G'day Lyn,
The Easy Fold Stretcher Shelter is quite new, so we've not got a video yet, but we do have it on the list. Pros: lots of sleeping space, extra-large awning, easy pop-up style set up, gear hammock under the stretcher, a good balance of mesh fabric for ventilation, and solid fabric for warmth Cons: are there any! Access is only from one side.
The Ultimate All-Weather Stretcher Pros: plenty of internal mesh for warm nights, a fairly quick set up style, dual doors for easy access, small awning to sit under Cons: Poles can be damaged if not careful, some reports of condensation dripping through the internal mesh
