The Dexter Point is an all-round good egg that’ll keep you snug and relaxed on your next camping trip in conditions up to -5°. If you’re the kind of sleeper tends to bury your face in your blankets – you’ll find the comfort cuff on the opening of the Dexter Point makes this bag just that little bit more like your bed at home.
Snagging your zipper on the inside of your bag, and then spending the next 10 minutes wrestling with an inanimate object while your camp mates becoming increasing more annoyed with you, is something you want to avoid. The Dexter Point has a snag free opening and closing, so you can have a smooth night’s sleep wherever you are. When there’s a chill breeze blowing, the contoured head on the Dexter Point will help your noggin retain heat, and add an extra layer of cushioning for comfort.
If you and your phone are as thick as thieves, then you probably don’t want to be parted from it, even while you sleep. That’s why Coleman have added a Velcro pocket for your precious communication device. Suitable for tall lads and lasses – if you’re under 6”3 you’ll have no trouble fitting in this bag. All in all, the Coleman is a great general camping bag that will keep you happy and comfy on your next outdoor adventure.
Love it, warm, awesome customer service.
Super warm and looks great too. Fabric is lovely and soft, not shiny or noisy when you move like traditional sleeping bags. Definitely recommend.
I want to match up to another Coleman tall that I think is right opening.
I've checked with Coleman, and they've confirmed that the Dexter Point doesn't come in a left opening, it only comes in one model which has a right-hand opening. The Dexter, unfortunately, can't be zipped together because of the oval shape at the top of the bag.
I'm not too sure which bag you have in the tall size, but just for reference if you mean the Mudgee C5 Tall bag - that one can't be combined (again because of the oval shape at the top).
I want to use this as a doona, as well as a sleeping bag.
I've just had a look at one downstairs - and the Dexter Point -5C Sleeping Bag can definitely be unzipped to be used as a doona.
