I've saw one of these at a show - the mattress seemed pretty good and better than the Darche ones. The self stowing arms also seem clever but would would they be less effective (than the steel ones) in strong wind? Also is there a fly extender available for these?
Tom - Perth, WA (1 month ago)
G'day Tom,
Theres no fly extension for these at this stage. I'm not sure if it's something 23Zero are planning to do for the future, but it could be on the cards. The self stow or self-propelling arms are an awesome feature. I had a solid play around with these at the Adelaide show recently, and they seem solid as. I cant image there would be any disadvantage to them over the steel ones.

Ladder when packed on roof1 answer
Hello, the image shows the ladder connected to the tent but then the photo with the cover makes it look totally flat. Is the ladder not connected when driving or is the image wrong.. Or does it actually have a completely flat profile at the top?
Mari - Perth, WA(1 month ago)
G'day Mari,
The ladder on the Dakota SuperLite is fully removed & packed separately, so will need to be attached and unattached for set up and pack up. It has a completely flat profile when packed up.

Waterproofing 1 answer
Hello! What King of waterproofing method is used on these tents? Cheers.
Lucy - Sunbury, VIC (1 month ago)
G'day Lucy,
The same as all of 23Zero's rooftop tents - they have a waterproof coating internally, as well as seam sealing. Hope that helps!

Mounting1 answer
How would you mount this on cross bars? Are there brackets provided? What are they made of?
Tommo - Edmondson park, NSW (1 month ago)
G'day Tommo,
I'm assuming you're talking about a pair of normal roof rails? The roof top tent comes with a largely steel mounting kit that attaches to the majority of roof rail and platform rack systems. There are bolts and brackets which clamp around whatever roof rack system you have, and the roof top tent will come with an installation guide to walk you through it.

Materials and manufacturing 1 answer
Hello snowy team, - where are these rtt made? I know it's Aussie designed but no mention anywhere about manufacturing? - the Oxford ripstop eco material, is this 100%plastic? I thought Oxford was a cotton and synthetic combo? But this looks like a new type of polymer material I've never heard of. Many thanks 😊
Zoë - Darlinghurst, NSW (1 month ago)
G'day Zoe,
Oxford is a style of fabric weave, not about the composition - a lot of roof top tent and tent brands are using an oxford material these days. Eco ratings arent just about the fibre used, but the entire manufacturing process of the material eg. energy consumption, chemicals used, dyes, etc...You can find more details of this particular material on 23Zero's website. All 23Zero products are mainly manufactured in 23Zero's factory in China, however there may be componentry or materials manufactured in other countries aswell.
