It’s called a deep frypan, but I’d call it a wok! The Campfire Compact Non-Stick Deep Frypan offers non-stick cooking and as a bonus comes with a base suitable for gas, induction and electric stoves, you can even stick the whole thing in the oven when the handle is removed.
Did you know that many non-stick surfaces are made using Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), a suspected cancer-causing agent in the manufacturing stage? Well, you don’t need to worry because these don’t have any perflur.., flurpa.., perfluroo.., any of that nasty stuff in it.
The Die Cast Aluminium has a triple coated non-stick surface and an easily detachable handle, you’ll be whipping up Asian Culinary delights wherever you’re camped with the Campfire Deep Frypan.

I see that you can remove the handle but there is still plastic attached to the pan. I am looking to cook over coals and i am wondering if the small plastic piece can be removed also?

The Compact Nonstick Deep Frypan isn't really designed to be used over coals due to the plastic handle, but also nonstick surface. They're designed for use only on gas, electric and induction stoves.

Has anyone tried these on coals?1 answer
Not talking into the middle of a fire, but direct cooking on judicious placement of coals....
Looking for a lightweight kayak pan.

We've never tried popping the Campfire Compact Nonstick Deep Frypan directly on to coals before, no. We're thinking that you shouldn't have too many issues though. The bottom of your pan would blacken a little and you might have some trouble with even heat and controlling that heat but we don't think it will ruin your pan, no.

Can you purchase a lid?
Karen - Coffs hbr(6 years ago)
There's no lid available for the Compact Non-stick Deep Frypan sorry Karen. You could look for something that may fit from a homeware or department store, but you won't find anything specifically for this frypan.
