is the bin kangaroo / possum proof?1 answer
Roos & possums will go thru plastic bags at night. Will this bin prevent them from doing this (if I tie it to something so it doesn't fall over)?
Alexis - Edgewater(2 years ago)
Those possums can be pretty sneaky. The compact bin is made from a material that is similar to lighter weight tents, so it should do a fairly good job of keeping them out, although I have seen them get into some well-secured bins, so it's a tricky one!

shoe storage?1 answer
I'm looking for something into which I can chuck 4 - 6 pairs of shoes and store inside a tent, just so they don't get wet if they're left outside overnight. Do you think this would be suitable?
Anna - Melbourne(3 years ago)
The Elemental Compact Bin should do a great job of storing shoes inside for the night. We'd never thought of using them for that purpose but we think it will work well.

Does the bin have a lid?1 answer
Does the bin have a lid to keep smells in and critters out?
Nick - Adelaide(5 years ago)
I've just checked, and it looks like there is no lid on the Elemental Compact bin.

Is the nylon used in the bin waterproof? 1 answer
Hi. Will this bin leak liquid waste?
Anthony - Collaroy (5 years ago)
I've just visually inspected the bin and it doesn't appear to be waterproof. The specifications from Elemental also don't mention anything about waterproofing either. Upon looking at it, the nylon is stitched together but the fabric isn't thick and there is no seam sealing. While this may prevent some liquid from leaking, I can't be confident that it would prevent all liquid from leaking.
