Can you stick twigs down the centre of the kettle?1 answer

Is the centre of the kettle hollow so you can stick twigs down for using the kettle as a easy cooker on top

G'day Suz,

The centre of the kettle has an opening from top to bottom to help increase the surface area. They're designed to be used on top of the Cobb unit, and are designed to be used with heat beads or Cobb fuel. You might be able to use it with twigs, but this particular unit hasn't been designed to use it this way.

The base of the Cobb Kettle is quite thin because of its design, this might mean that balance may be an issue on your stovetop. If it balances, then you'll have no worries though.

The Cobb Kettle comes with all that's shown in the first photo. It has the kettle itself, the base that allows it to stand on the coals and the carry bag. The Cobb Cooker that's shown in the last couple of photos is sold separately.
