Purchasing Officer
Thebarton, SA

Snowys is looking for a Purchasing Officer to join our small purchasing team at our Thebarton, SA office and warehouse.

The position is full-time and involves generating stock orders, receiving invoices, liaising with suppliers and resolving problems to ensure we have what customers want, when they want, at the lowest price. It is a fast-paced and action-oriented workplace.

The position will suit an ambitious person who is keen to develop into more senior purchasing roles.

Applicants must offer the following:

  • Good computer knowledge & skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
  • Have experience in a purchasing and receiving role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication ability
  • Have experience and knowledge of camping and outdoor products
  • Ability to work under pressure and to time lines
  • Have a high attention to detail and be able to multi-task
  • Have initiative and be able to work with a sense of urgency making correct decisions quickly

Preferably:

  • Experience using Retail Express ERP software would be a bonus but not essential

Content Marketer
Keswick, SA

We’re looking for a Content Marketer to develop, implement, track and optimise our digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels. You should have a strong grasp of current marketing tools, strategies and the ability to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution.

You’ll be working within our web team, which consists of a graphic designer, SEO manager, copywriter, blog contributors & videographer. It’ll be your responsibility to deliver creative, on-brand campaigns utilising each of these departments.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Manage a team-accessible content calendar, outlining upcoming events, seasonal and product campaigns (website, EDM, social media and display advertising campaigns)
  • Set goals and track campaign performance
  • Managing social media accounts; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & Pinterest
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimise spend and performance based on the insights
  • Work closely with a team to create new and creative growth strategies
  • Plan, execute and measure experiments and conversion tests
  • Collaborate with partners (blogs, forums, social groups) within the camping and outdoor industry
  • Research products, services and images to ensure ability to write accurate, on-target copy for assigned projects

Job requirements:

  • Proven working experience in digital marketing & content creation
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing web, social media and display advertising campaigns
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools
  • Experience in writing for the web and working with content management systems (CMS)
  • Up-to-date with latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Passion for camping and outdoors is preferable

Store Sales Team Members

We're on the lookout for a handful of passionate outdoor enthusiasts to join our vibrant sales team assisting customers with their upcoming adventure.

You're probably thinking that we're only on the lookout for a typical sales guru? Not quite. Although sales experience helps - we're really interested in finding a camping, hiking and/or traveller who is personable, vibrant, energetic with a willingness to learn.

So, if you’ve had extensive camping, hiking and/or travel experience, studied outdoor recreation or are involved in the Scouts community - we'd love to hear from you!

We're looking for a handful of outdoorsy people to join our team up in our Brendale, QLD store (which is only 12 months old). If you're looking for a casual or part-time position, please let us know by leaving a note on your cover letter.

If you have the following, then that’s even better:

  • Retail, sales or customer service experience – especially in the outdoor industry
  • Brilliant verbal communications skills – both in person and on the phone
  • Experience working with POS systems and Microsoft Office
  • A creative brain to assist with merchandising displays
  • Oh, and a love for camping and the outdoors is crucial
