A minimalist travel pack for minimalist budgets, the Black Wolf Cancun Travel Pack is designed with basic features and a big volume.
Featuring two zippered compartments separated by a removable divider, the main pack is comfortably carried by top and side grab handles, the shoulder strap, or a simple but functional harness that can be adjusted for the perfect fit.
The removable daypack is hydration compatible, features a music port and has a separate front pocket with an internal organiser.
Looking for an 80L pack for a Gold Duke of Edinburgh hike.
G'day Sandra,
There isn't a rain cover with this Cancun 80L Travel Pack, although you could add a separate Large Pack Cover. This pack is really designed as a Travel back, rather than a hiking Rucksack, so we'd recommend considering another option for the Gold Duke of Ed Hike. Have a look at the Hiking Rucksacks here.
Do the straps of this backpack zip away for safe travel on an aeroplane? Or do I have purchase a separate cover (such as the Black Wolf Overall) so the straps don't get caught on conveyor belts etc.?
G'day Keiron,
Hi, is there really much difference between the Cancun and the Cuba travel packs?
G'day James,
There are a few differences between the Black Wolf Cancun and Cuba Travel Packs. The Cancun is quite a basic model and the Cuba has a few extra features that aren't on the Cancun.
Can the day pack fit an ultralight thin laptop - of say 13 - 14"
G'day Mick,
Without having a laptop to physically try this one, we used a measuring tape to look inside the daypack of the Black Wolf Cancun 80L Travel Pack and we're pretty certain that you'll have no worries fitting a 14" laptop inside the bag.
Does the bag have suitcase style opening rather than only from the top?
G'day Julia,
I've just had a look at the Cancun 80L pack downstairs, and I found that it has a U-shaped zipper opening - so it is similar to a suitcase opening.
Are you able to lock the zips on this bag
G'day Cheryl,
I've just had a look at the Cancun downstairs to confirm, and yes you can lock the zips on this pack.
does the bag have zipper access to the bottom of the bag at all?
G'day Rebecca,
I've just checked the display, and the Cancun pack has 2 main openings - one at the bottom just under the day pack, and one along the top. The other Black Wolf packs that have two main openings (top and bottom) are the Cuba, and Cedar Breaks models.
Is the day pack ok size wise for hand luggage?
