Staff tip:Heads Up! Roman swags come in a lightweight black bag for transport which is not intended for re−use.
The swag is made from canvas which naturally repels water. The trick prior to use though is to 'season' the swag which will ensure all the seams expand to make it watertight before you use it. You can read about seasoning a swag HERE. Once you've seasoned it, it should then be completely waterproof for all your adventures.

Does it have a mesh opening at the feet? If yes does it have a storm flap like at the head

I wasn't sure about this one so I've opened one up and yes, it does have fly mesh at the foot end of the swag and it's covered from the weather by a canvas storm flap.

midge and sandflys?1 answer
G'day, is this tent midge and sandfly proof? thanks
Reece - BLAKEHURST(4 years ago)
It's hard to give a solid answer on midge proofing of the Roman Burke Biker Swag as midges are very very sneaky and apparently chew through the mesh. The mesh used by Roman is classed as heavy duty ultra fine nylon mesh, so I would say you should be ok. It would be worth having a read of our blog about midges and sandflies though.
