How hot/warm does it get in Australian conditions?1 answer
Can someone who owns (and uses regularly) a pair of these please comment on how warm it gets on Australian conditions? I am a pretty beginner hiker who has been using regular sports shoes, and want to upgrade to something proper, but was worried it gets warm/sweaty in Australian weather. An online review says "I found that even when wearing lightweight merino socks, my feet grew swampy quickly in temperatures in the mid 60s Fahrenheit. " Looking for some advise please.

G'day Jacob,
We don't have anyone here who owns these boots, so can't give you any feedback. Ultimately despite Gortex being breathable, there's only so much it can be given that it's a waterproof fabric. If your feet get hot and sweaty, it's likely that heat and sweat will be trapped in the boot for the most part. If you are wanting a cooler, fully breathable boot option for warm conditions in Australia, you'll need to be looking at a mid-cut or a non waterproof option.
