If a double-sized sleeping bag - filled with R.D.S certified 750+ loft ultra-dry down - doesn't get a non-camper into the outdoors for a night under the stars...then there's probably no hope. The Amplitude Am3 from Sea to Summit has room for two and features multiple zips - providing ultimate sleeping versatility for couples.
Rectangular with an ultra-wide circumference, this bag provides plenty of wiggle room so you won’t feel restricted as you snooze. With a comfort rating of -8°, it's better suited for chillier conditions thanks to its easy zipper and drawcords mechanisms for a cosy night's sleep. In the warmer months, the multiple zips allow campers to exend their limbs beyond the sack, or use it as an open quilt.
To prevent cold spots, vertical baffles over the chest and side block baffles keep the down on top for ultimate insulation and warmth. Stash your phone or other valuables in the large internal security pocket, and connect to a sleeping mat thanks to the adjustable webbing loop system.
Be it kipping in your van, heading to your favourite camping spot, or staying in huts – the Amplitude Am3 Double Sleeping Bag from Sea to Summit will keep you warm and comfortable.

I'm interested in using this on my own. I generally sleep on my back and I'd like to know whether it would be comfortable to sleep in this bag, in line with the middle of the bag. It looks like there are 2× hoods, and hence it may not lend itself to my use case.

Yep, this is 100% suitable. There is only one hood which you can see in most of the product images. There is a bungee chord the runs internally, indicated by the dark blue line, this allows you to cinch the hood into two separate areas, which is ideal for two people in alpine conditions....you absolutely don't have to use this feature, and comfort is not effected by it. Hope that helps.

Zipper at foot1 answer
Does this bag have a zipper to open up at the foot end? Husband likes to stick his feet out!
Deborah - Blackburn South, VIC (1 year ago)
We do have this info online but it's buried a bit & easily missed! This sleeping bag has six zip sliders on three "Two−Way" zips, meaning one zip for each side and one for the foot end that can all be unzipped for either end. Hope that makes sense!

Fitting to air mattress1 answer
Hi there, Seeing if this sleeping bag has any sleeves to be able to fit onto a double or queen air bed mattress, and if so- how thick of a mattress can it accommodate up to?
Chris - Coogee, NSW(2 years ago)
The Amplitude Am3 doesn't have a sleeve underneath it, but it does having some adjustable webbing straps that can be used to attach it to a mattress. They are designed to be attached to a lightweight hike style mat, so won't suit mattresses thicker than around 8cm, so, unfortunately, they won't be able to attach the bag to an air mattress.
