The luxurious Aeros Premium Deluxe Pillow from Sea to Summit will help you get your rest, without having to carry around the extra bulk on your adventures.
Somewhere I read that S to S incorporated air sprung cells (like their mats) in this model. This, I imagine would improve their pillows - making them more like the real thing, but… is this true? If so, I’ll buy this one.
G'day Heni,
This Premium Model has soft brushed 50D polyester fabric, curved internal baffles that cradle your head, synthetic fill between the pillow case and TPU bladder. These pillows don't have air-sprung cells. They are just inspired by the design of the mats.
These are pretty comfy regardless and I find adjusting the amount of air in your pillow can help make it comfier.
Is this pillow washable? Does the Sea to Summit Pillow case fit this pillow.? Does it make a noise when you turn your head?
G'day Nathan,
The pillow can be spot cleaned, but if you're worried it may get grubby a pillow case would be a great idea. The Sea to Summit pillow case doesnt fit this one, but you can use any normal pillowcase without too much trouble. I personally have this pillow & havent ever noticed any noise issues.
Hi, I’m about to embark around Oz on a motorcycle trip, camping some of the time. Just wondering if you could give me your opinion as to choice of pillow between this one, Sea to Summit Aeros Down & Aeros Ultralight please? Want a pillow that packs down small but also comfy. I imagine Down would be the best? Given the price difference, how much better? Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Trevor
G'day Trevor,
All of the Sea to Summit pillows are pretty comfortable, with the Aeros Down pillows being the most luxurious. The down provides comfort and insulation so you'll be toasty warm and comfortable. The Aeros Premium Deluxe (this pillow) is also very comfortable, with a nice soft brushed polyester finish. Depending on the model you're comparing it to in the downrange they pack a little larger due to the materials used. The Aeros Ultralight Pillows are a lighter-weight version of the Aeros Premium Pillows and use a stretch knit fabric finish. They pack into a similar size bag to most of the down options. Overall they're all very comfortable and have valves that allow for varying firmness, with packed sizes varying by only a few centimetres depending on the exact model.
