If your old tent is getting a little cramped for your liking, then it might be time to upgrade to a roomy and easy to pitch tent like the Aero TL Lite from Zempire.
The Aero TL Lite provides space for four people with plenty of head height, but it also won’t weigh down your trailer as it comes in at just 20kg. The poles are easily inflated by the included pump, and the TL Lite also comes with a sewn-in groundsheet so there’s one less thing do to when setting up your site. Fully seam sealed and constructed from fabric that offers a waterhead rating of 3000mm, this tent is fully weatherproof.
The large internal living space is separated by a blackout room and wall– so you can catch some extra sleep without the sun waking you up at the crack of dawn. You can get some cool air circulating thanks to the multiple ventilation throughout this tent as well. The internal storage ladders provide space for storing smaller gadgets, the lantern rigging allows you to illuminate your shelter easily, and the power cord access area lets you use your 12V gear with ease.
If your mates have a tendency to track dirt and mud through your tent, the Aero TL Lite has wet weather access and vestibule so you can keep your living and sleeping area clean and dry. For a roomy, spacious and cleverly feature inflatable tent, the Zempire Aero TL Lite is just what you need.
Did a dry run with this tent down at the school oval on the weekend. The good: it is very large, with lots of space for a family of four, while yet fitting easily into the boot of our car. It seems well made, and teh floor although not thick is not crunchy or noisy (although it probably helps that we had it on the matching Zempire groundsheet). Lots of useful storage and various lantern hanging points on the inside. Very easy to set up with the included pump. Plenty of head room in the tent, plus the side door helps family flow.
The bad: the large front door only has a mesh window at the top instead of a whole door mesh layer (as is stated on the Zempire website). Packing down was much harder, and the bag is a snug fit and not very good quality (the Zempire bag that came with our table was much sturdier material and better designed). I will be ordering an extra large canvas duffle bag in the hopes of making pack up easier, and protecting this, overall, very good tent.
This tent although have only setup once in my front lawn is very much disappointing lack of airflow vents , second room is a saggy room that’s not taught so your not getting true useable space within the bedroom , has a hole in the floor to put a tent peg down for the inner tent room , tent looks like it will get hot , inner windows open from the inside so it it rains you’ll get rain inside tent , and to make things worse the tent is a really strong effort to get back in the bag without the air pump etc , sadly if I had my time again I would have purchased another air tent but I do not blame snowys in any way they are good people with great knowledge good products. And will continue buying from you guys but this item I think I will wait for the new range of outdoor connection tents , hurts me writing such a review but after seeing ather brand air tents this doesn’t stack up to them
I'm really sorry to hear that Braden - a bit like Ren's review, this is very helpful for other campers looking for an inflatable tent. Please send us an update (after you've given it a good crack) to let us know how you went. Laine
Just received my Aero TL Lite and to my dismay, NO! full mesh doors. What The? Australia gets hot and a lot of it is tropical so air flow is very important to a good nights sleep. Nobody is going to leave the doors open to gain the much needed airflow at the expense of being eaten alive by mosquitoes and midgies. I actually ordered the black wolf tent which does have a full mesh door and swapped to the Zempire because all of the online photographs only show the Zempire with the door open and the scripted selling copy is all about the importance of air flow. You could surmise that the front door is carefully kept open so that chumps like me can not get a good handle on how much this point shuts down good airflow. I set it up with the extra roof for two days of 30 degree heat with a good breeze and hopped inside this sweat box to sense check the "superior" airflow. Not happy with the result to say the least. Set up and pack up was good, I like the roominess but the lack of airflow into this tent is a deal breaker. Zempire, you need to put full mesh in your doors, with a second solid outer skin and this tent will be a ripper. When you do let me know so that I can trade this one back for the improved version.
Thanks for posting Ren - although I'm sorry to hear that you're not loving your new tent. As hard as it was to read, it'll be really helpful for customers looking for a tent with added mesh walls for extra airflow. If we can do anything to help out, please give us a call on 1300 914 007. Laine
Happy with this new tent overall, however one disappointment with what is marketed as "blackout room and wall", which to me is a joke.
Yes the walls are dark grey, yes light is a bit filtered but we are far away from a setup where most of the light is filtered.
Also there is no real separation between the 2 rooms, just a light panel that can be added...
Apart from that, good product, quality of fabrication looks good.
Do you sell poles for this? And how large will this shaded area be? Does the brand sells front canopies for this model? Thanks
I wasn't entirely sure about this one so I gave Zempire a buzz over the ditch in New Zealand and asked them. They double checked it for me and yes, it does have some eyelets so that you can turn the front into an awning. The awning size would be about 170 x 260cm. As for poles for it, I'd suggest even something as simple as the Oztrail Awning Pole Set would do the job for you.
What gauge of mesh are the windows made from please?
I've just checked with the info provided by Zempire, and it looks like they don't provide the gauge of the mesh on any of their products.
We don't have this particular tent on display, but from examining the mesh on Zempire's other products (they should be the same across the range) it looks like its higher quality than standard dome tent mesh, but not quite as fine as No-See-Um or 'super-fine' mesh in terms of its gauge.
We weren't able to get through to Zempire today as it's a public holiday in NZ to double check, but please let us know if you would like us to follow up with them when they're open.
I've just got off of the phone to Zempire's head office in New Zealand. The confirmed that the mesh on the Zemipre Aero TL Lite Air Tent is what they call U2 Mesh, which has the same characteristics as no-see-um mesh, as it keeps out sand flies and midges. They didn't have a specific gauge rating on the mesh though. As for the floor, it's a Polyethylene, so can be a little loud underfoot.
Does it come down to the floor and totally seal off the rooms from each other? Or does it just hang down from the ceiling?
The partition of the Zempire Aero TL Lite Air Tent hangs from loops to provide a physical divider and as such, can be removed if desired. It, unfortunately, doesn't offer a complete seal.
Also are there storage pockets on the inside of the sleeping areas themselves? Will you be stocking the separately available groundsheet, extra roof guard, and/or awning tent poles listed on Zempire's own website? Is the floor of the tent the soft or noisy kind? Thank you very much!
We're hoping to have more Zempire Aero TL Lite Air Tent stock in early November. We're itching for our next shipment from New Zealand... Zempire just make super popular products at the moment and it's hard for everyone to keep up. Sorry!
With storage pockets, they're only available on the outside of the sleeping area from memory, but I won't be able to check this until more stock arrives.
We have the groundsheets and roof cover available via our website, however, the awning poles would need to be a special order. We can help you with that by giving us a call on 1300 914 007.
In my experience with the Zempire Tent range, I would say that the floor is the soft kind.
