First backpack

A 4-day hike is a good test for a new backpack, especially as it was the first time I had hiked with a pack. Pleasantly surprised how comfortable this pack was. The only thing I will change is to put some eyelets in the bottom compartment, the pack is not waterproof and water tends to pool there.

Good pack for the price offered

Have used the pack in summer 2016 in the Vic Alps during multi-day trek. Happy with the product. Good value for the price offered. Comfortable pack for the back and comfortable belt for the hips, weight is fine for the capacity of the pack, back pocket on the outside is very handy. We knew the pack is not waterproof, so it wasn’t a surprise but a rain cover would be useful.

Is it waterproof or have a rain cover?1 answer

Is the pack waterproof and/or have a rain cover?

G'day Mark,

This particular pack does not come with a raincover however Sea To Summit's 50-70 litre pack cover should fit over it perfectly.

The material is a blend of Polyester & Nylon so it does resist moisture for a limited period of time but to be entirely waterproof-ie. having the option of rafting the pack across a river, the only option is to use a pack liner on the inside of the bag.  The Sea To Summit Medium pack liner option would suit this 65 10 pack.
