Just like its moniker, the Comet USB Campsite will light up the night and provide you with enough illumination for your whole campsite.
The light is elevated from a collapsible and adjustable pole fibreglass pole connected to a power cord with a USB connector. The 700 lumen LED light is super bright, with an aluminium reflector for focused illumination.
The extra-long power cord lets you place the light just where you need it, there are Velcro loop straps included for securing, and a sand spike for easy off vehicle mounting.
A great lighting solution for family camping trips, fishing expeditions, and off-road recovery – the OZtrail 5 Watt USB Comet Campsite Light is all you’ll need.

Height?1 answer
Can this be set up at multiple heights? If we wanted to have it under a shelter say?
Kara - Holder, ACT(3 years ago)
G'day Kara,
No, this is a fixed height light, designed to be up height and create a broad area of light. There may be other options suitable for your needs, give us a buzz on 1300 914 007 or email us at service@snowys.com.au so we can point you in the right direction.

Voltage?1 answer
The specs mention curent draw of approx 1.0A, is that at 12 Volts? or 5V? as USB is usually 5V right?
Tim - Artarmon(4 years ago)
G'day Tim,
Yes you're correct, they run from a 5V USB outlet, so you can plug them into a power bank, or standard phone charger.

Is this light dimmable or have power settings?1 answer
There seems to be conflicting info floating around regarding this light. While the bigger 12V version is clearly dimmable, it appears this USB version just plugs directly into a USB power source with no switch. I see you state it is dimmable in the description however this seems to be contradictory to the photos and other info elsewhere (including Oztrail website).
Rob - Lane Cove(6 years ago)
G'day Rob,
Our apologies, it's a mistake on our end! The Oztrail 5W USB Campsite Light doesn't come with a dimmer switch. We've fixed that up on our website now.
