The Classic Coleman 5 position chair that we all know and love, now comes housed in a sleek black exterior for a stylish (and stain disguising) outdoor chair option.
To adjust this chair just park yourself down in the seat, then lift the arms up and down until you’ve got a relaxation-worthy angle. The sturdy steel frame is going to hold up to the elements, and the safety lock will keep you from any mishaps while you’re trying to relax in your chair.
You’ve got the option of keeping a beverage near, as there is a fold out drink holder on the Flat Fold – so you can enjoy the open air with a cold one if that tickles your fancy.
And this chair has a carry strap included, so you can haul it from the car to campsite without dropping it.

Coleman 5 position chair padding and headrest1 answer
Can I get replacement padding and headrest for my chair?
Beverly - Deepdene, VIC (5 months ago)
G'day Beverly,
Unfortunately not, but may be something a local upholsterer could do for you without too much trouble. Might be worth the investigating to support a local business, if it's economical.

Weight1 answer
Your Snowy's review notes the chair is 5.5kg in weight but website spec notes 7.5kg. Can you confirm please?
Steve - Kincumber, NSW(6 months ago)
G'day Steve,
The product review is dated 2018, so is on an older version of this chair. Whilst the chair features and function has not changed, the frame materials most likely have. In the specifications on our website you can see next to the weight that we have an orange tick. This means: Verified by Snowys. Which means, we've measured or weighed this product with our own hands.
Someties the information provided by suppliers may be wrong, in which case we advertise the correct real life information. This orange tick will be next to any specifications where real life is different from supplied info.
Hope that helps.

Fold-up1 answer
How or where is the safety lock after folding? Are there any videos or picture in detail for it? The figure on the label doesn't explain it that well.
Leon - South Yarra, VIC(8 months ago)
G'day Leon,
There is no safety lock when folded, that mechanism just locks the chair into place when in use to stop it collapsing on someone. If you want to keep it together when its shut, just use the webbing strap with the clip that will hold it all together.

Price drop1 answer
Just noticed on your website this chair is now advertised at $89.90 and when I bought 2 a month ago they were $99.90. Is this a website error or has the price dropped now? One of the chairs broke a couple of weeks in, replaced in 4 days, great service.
Sue - Mintaro(5 years ago)
It quite possibly has Sue, these prices can change slightly with buying cycles.
Our buyer may have secured a good deal from Coleman on the last shipment, or, Coleman may have dropped their wholesale price which we then pass on to our customers. The fact that we keep our pricing so low means we need to react to any fluctuation here, and we can't always forecast what will happen with prices in the future. I hope you're enjoying your new chairs, glad we were able to sort out the fault for you.

Price match?1 answer
Can you advise if you do price matching with another online supplier? If so would prefer to purchase from a SA rather than QLD as live in SA. $20 less for two....thks
Sue - Mintaro(5 years ago)
G'day Sue,
We're happy to look at price matching for you. You can either just us a call on 1300 914 007 or shoot us an email at service@snowys.com.au. Just make sure you have details of the other retailer handy so we can do a quick double check.

Could you tell me why your warranty for this chair is only 1 year? I was under the impression that it was 3 yrs. (Coleman website)

Chair positions1 answer
Does it recline flat like the 8 position chair? What differences are there between 5 position & 8 position chair?
Kat - Colac(5 years ago)
G'day Kat,
The 5 position folds back to what can only be described as a 'very reclined' position but not flat so not as far back as the 8 position chair. Other than that the only real difference between the two chairs is a slight difference in rated capacity, total weight and the rigid metal the 5 position uses versus the 8 position frame is rigid plastic.

In the folded position what is the total height1 answer
IIdealy I would love to buy the original chairs as we have a space in our vehical
that is allocated for those chairs. Therefore we would be happy if you had a pair of the old style chairs for sale
dave - ECHUCA, VIC(6 years ago)
G’day Dave, I’ve just measured the display model on the floor and the Coleman 5 Position Padded Chair is 62cm wide, 95cm long, and 12cm high. Our stock was ordered this year so it is the latest model available which is all we have. I’ve had a chat with the other staff and looked through the old Coleman catalogue, and as far as we can find there hasn’t been that many updates to this model over the years, so it's likely to be very similar to the ones that you already have.
Emily - Snowys(6 years ago)
Do these have metal or plastic arm rests? They look different from the arm rests on the 5 position chairs we have had for nearly 10 years. Our current chairs have been great but the plastic arm rests have finally snapped.1 answer
Kevin - HERVEY BAY, QLD(6 years ago)
The armrests are metal Kevin with a powder coated finish. Not much has changed on these chairs, but it seems these armrests may have had an update since your original purchase 10 years ago.

brian - forrestfeild(6 years ago)
G'day Brian - The extreme width (from the outside of the arm rests) it's 61.5cm. The other measurements are as follows: 52cm width of seat, 46cm depth of seat, and 102cm is the height to the top of the back. Hope that helps. Cheers, Paul

Hello, is the head rest removable?
Michael - PASCOE VALE SOUTH, VIC(7 years ago)
Hi Michael, the head rest is permanently attached on these, you can hang it over the back of the seat when you don't need it though.

Does the Coleman 5 pos Chair come with carry bag like the 8 pos one?1 answer
Pa - ADELAIDE, SA(7 years ago)
The 5 position chair comes with a removable carry strap rather than a storage bag. We do stock various storage bags which can accommodate the chair (search for code: 40560).
