Hi Ben & Lauren, could you tell me if I can connect two of these together & then connect them to an Enerdrive 12v-40 Amp Dc2Dc charger with an Mppt charger in it. The charger should handle up to 30 Amps of solar OK. Also if I can do that, I wouldn't need the PWM controller would I. Thanks for any help you can give me. I think your videos & customer support is fantastic, thanks Kindest regards Nick :0)
G'day Nick,
You can, but not with the supplied gear. You'd need a high current piggyback Anderson cable like the Voltflow cable we sell here.
If you're plugging into your Enerdrive, you wont need the solar controller that comes with the Hard Korr blanket.
Hope that helps, let us know if you have any other questions!
Hi - just wondering whether these will fit a bluetti battery ?
G'day Melissa,
That depends what the solar input specs are on the Bluetti unit you have, and what connection it is.
If you're able to get intouch and provide abit more info we'll be able to let you know.
Does the controller have to be plugged into the battery Anderson plug or can it be plugged into the solar blanket Anderson plug and then the 5m cable goes from the regulator to the battery Anderson plug?
G'day Coral,
If your battery requires a solar controller, you can plug it in anywhere in the line between the battery and solar panels, although it's generally best practice to have the controller closer to the battery for optimal charging.
Hi there just wondering would this solar set up work with the companion fridge freezer 75lt lithium rechargeable that i already own or would it be best to keep the same brand as the fridge/freezer as I've watched your companion fridge freezer review about if the solar puts too much charge the fridge cuts out.
G'day Michael,
It doesnt work, sorry - the Companion solar is the the only one we've come across in real life that will work, sorry.
You'd need to find a solar controller that allows you to set a specific voltage which doesn't fall within existing standard charge settings for Lithium or AGM batteries. We havent found one of those yet!
I have already purchased this solar mat from you a few years ago and love it. However I had no use for the regulator with the first purchase. Any chance this can be sold without the regulator for a cheaper price?
G'day Emilio,
Yeah mate - just purchase the non-regulator version here.
How does this mat hold up to repetitive folding and unfolding? I've heard solid panels are more durable (but heavier).
G'day Daryl,
Pretty great, as that's their designed purpose.
I've got a fold-up solar mat that's about 7 years old with no issues at all - it's on of Hard Korrs original mats as well.
Solid panels are definitely more heavy duty, but if you need a lighter, packable option there no issue with these.
Hi, I have a dual AGM battery setup in my caravan and was wondering if I’ll need to use the solar controller when charging with the Hardkorr blanket?
G'day Geoff,
Does your dual battery set up also include a charge controller or charge regulator?
If it does, you won't need to use the solar controller that comes with the panels.
