Can this pot be used on top of any hiking stove ?
G'day Jo,
It's not something that Jetboil recommends, however, I have read stories of hikers using these pots on Pocket Rocket stoves, and reporting that they are quite stable. It won't work with every stove due to the location and shape of the pot supports. It's not something we'd be comfortable recommending, but it does seem to be possible.
Do I need to purchase the Stainless Steel Pot Support for this to work with the Jetboil MightyMo Stove?
G'day Seb,
The Fluxring Cooking Pot will work straight on top of the Mighty Mo Hiking Stove.
Will the pot work on the jetboil Genesis?
G'day Steve,
The Genesis is not listed as a compatible cook system for the Fluxring im afraid.
It is only compatible with the following burners: Zip, Flash, Flash Java, MightyMo, MicroMo, MiniMo, SUMO
Hi Snowys, Could you let me know what is the inner base diameter of this pot - i.e. the inner diameter of the heat exchanger ring? Just trying to understand if this pot will fit on my stove. Thanks in advance.
G'day Dmytro,
I've just measured the base of the 1.5L Fluxring Cooking Pot and the internal diameter of the heat exchanger ring is 12cm.
when using this cooking pot do you need the pot support in combination with the mightymo stove?
G'day Neishya,
When using the JetBoil 1.5L Fluxring Cooking Pot with your Mightymo Stove, you will need to use the pot support, yes.
Does this work off the Flash Hiking Stove or a different base altogether? Hoping only to have to purchase Jetboil Flash Hiking Stove unit and possibly this for additional benefit...
It will work with the Flash Cooking System Elaine, but you will need the Jetboil Pot Support in order to use the cooking pot on top of the burner. A combination of the Flash with the Cooking Pot would let you cook everything from boiled water to pasta sauce.
You mention the pot support - is this a separately sold item?
Can these pots be used on an ordinary stove top?
