If you’re sick of opening your freezer up and not see a fossilised coating of ice over all of your frozen goods, then you might want to invest in a gadget like the Primus Re-sealer Hand-Held Rechargeable Vacuum Sealer.

When used in conjunction with the Primus re-sealable bags you can extend the life of your food both at home and when you’re out on the road. Vacuum prolongs the life of your food by reducing the oxygen to limit bacteria growth, thus slowing down expiration. This method is especially great for meats and poultry (apologies herbivores) as well as soups, sauces, and stews.

The Primus is small, portable and super easy to use, so whether you’re needing supplies for a month long caravan trip, or you’ve got a great deal on some bulk produce and you want to keep it fresh – the Primus Vacuum sealer will sort you out.

  • Seals over 30 bags with one full charge
  • Vacuum speed of 8 litres per minute
  • Gentle on delicate foods
  • Removable base allows for easy cleaning
  • -0.7 Bar vacuum pressure

mattress deflator?1 answer

I've read some comments suggesting the use of a vaccum to pack up the foam self-inflating mattresses. Would this be suitable for that purpose?

- Little Hartley(1 month ago)

G'day Bridie,

If the mattress has a screw-on valve, then this Vaccuum Sealer won't fit, others with a different valve might - but we wouldn't recommend you use this to deflate a self-inflating foam mat as they're not designed to be used that way.
