G'day Guys, Are you able to let me know what the dimensions of the mounting bracket are? Appreciated.

G'day Steve,
I have just measured one in-store here and the whole mounting bracket piece is 70mm x 40mm. The distance between the top screw holes is 30mm from centre to centre and 35mm from the top to the bottom hole.

Connection1 answer
I have an Anderson connector in the back of my car. Can I plug the box into that instead of connecting direct to aux battery? Probably a silly question but thought I should ask.
Teresa - Truro, SA (7 months ago)
G'day Teresa,
You shouldn't have any issues using an Anderson to Anderson lead for this, just make sure you have a dual battery system or a backup battery so you're not drawing power from your crank battery.

Solar Panel Connection1 answer
Does the solar panel need to go through an MPPT (or similar) before attaching to the Distribution Box to charge the battery, or does the box do all the work?
Dash - Brisbane, QLD(7 months ago)
G'day Dash,
You'd plug your solar into your battery via an MPPT or PWM solar controller as a separate connection as in input. The Distribution Box will be your load, so you'll plug the battery into that as an output, and run your appliances from that. It doesn't connect to solar panels.

Fuse?1 answer
Hi, does this have or need a fuse ? Thanks, Mark
Mark - Manly Vale, NSW(1 year ago)
G'day Mark,
Yap, these are fused to 50A. Whilst you're not technically supposed to be able to open these up according to Hard Korr's manual, they have confirmed you can open up the control box to change over the fuse if need be.
