Freeze1 answer
can you put water in this and then pop into the freezer? I'm after something that I can freeze, then put into chilly bin. cheers
Kelly - Northcote, VIC(11 months ago)
G'day Kelly,
I have gotten in touch with GSI Outdoors and they have advised it's not suitable to freeze these, this is what they have said. 'The water cube has walls that are thinner than others due to the manufacturing process. I think we would have leaks from the get-go if we froze that. Even if we left space. Just not meant for that application.'

Tap Flow1 answer
One of the reviewers above pointed out that the tap flow is slow due to there being no air intake. Would I be correct in assuming that applying pressure to the cube, by pushing down on it, would speed up the water flow, without damaging the cube?
Richard - Quindalup, WA(3 years ago)
G'day Richard,
The flow is mostly down to the lack of air intake, although like with a wine sack, etc squeezing does increase the flow! You won't find the water cube as pliable as one of these sacks, but you should be able to put pressure on it for similar results. I'd suggest it would be ideal to compress the cube along the existing fold lines, as if you are packing it up on itself, as opposed to just generally squashing it.

Is this product BPA free?1 answer
Is the polyethylene used in this product BPA free?
John - Geelong(5 years ago)
G'day John,
GSI does not specifically state that it's BPA free so we can only assume it's not. Sorry mate!

Can you hang it up 1 answer
Does the container come with rope and hook for hanging up as the coleman brand does
Dudley - Renown park (7 years ago)
G'day Dudley,
I've just double checked our stock of the GSI Outdoors 10L Water Cubes on the shop floor and can confirm that they don't have a rope and hook for hanging the cube.
