It probably could, however, it's not an overly massive hammer head so not sure how efficient it would be.

Does this work to lever out a regular hooked head tent peg or only the tent pegs by MSR with faceted head (as pictured in the product illustration)

You can use the Stake Hammer to pull regular hooked head style tent pegs out too, you may just have to angle it to catch the hook top depending on the overall size/shape of your pegs.
