Hi. While plugged in and charging via USB, can the torch be turned on and used?

G'day Dan,
I've checked this one out for you in real life, and the answer is no - it won't run whilst being charged.

Same charger as H7R core headlamp?1 answer
Hi. Do you know if the charger works with the H7R Core headlamp by Ledlenser? Thanks.
Andrew - Bardon, QLD(3 years ago)
G'day Andrew,
Yes, the P7R Core and H7R Core both use the same magnetic charge charging cable, so there'll be no need to pack two cables!

Charging the torch2 answers
How does the magnetic charging system work? I'm guessing that it's a USB cable that magnetically attaches (as distinct from plugging in) to the torch
Tony - Leongatha, VIC(3 years ago)
G'day Tony,
The torch comes with a charging cable that plugs into a USB outlet on one end and connects via two magnetic dots on the barrel of the torch (you can see them in one of the product images).

G'day Tony,
Yep, that's correct. Similar to a lot of rechargeable watches these days. There's small flat metal pins of the lantern and the charging cable that line up when they're magnetised together. I've personally found it to be a more reliable charging method long term, as there's no pins on the cable to bend or break off, and no charging port on the lantern to corrode or fill up with gunk!
