If you’ve had in mind a tent light that’s compact, provides lots of illumination, and has a sleek looking exterior then look no further than the Halo Tent Light from OZtrail.
With four super bright LEDs for illumination and two soft amber LEDs for the softer night light mode, you’ll have all the lighting options that you’ll need for your shelter. You can illuminate your whole tent by flicking the light on high, or you can switch it on low for a softer effect.
If you’re a known butterfingers, then you don’t have to stress – this light is very sturdy as it will absorb shock up to one metre. The multi-use carry handle and hanger also makes hanging your light really easy.

I can't open the back of the light to replace the batteries, do I need to unscrew something? If so, I've tried a bunch of screwdrivers and none fit. It looks like the back should come off easily like any other battery case, but it really doesn't.
G'day Megan,
There's a tab on one side at the back that you press and lift at the same, which opens up the back of the light and gives you access to the battery compartment.
I'm sorry we're not able to actually help you further than that, it's fairly straight forward for us on our demo model, so not sure what could be causing the problem.
You could potentially try emailing some photos of what you're experiencing to service@snowys.com.au & we'll see if we can trouble shoot further.
Sorry for the dumb question, but how do you open the back to get the batteries in?
G'day Paula,
Unfortunately I can't open the packaging, however it looks as though the clip on the bottom, if depressed will allow the back to come off to put the batteries in.
So it turns back on at the last setting it was on?
G'day Kelly,
The Halo Tent Light doesn't have a memory function sorry, you'll have to cycle through the functions each time you turn it on.
I have a similar oztrail light from a few years ago but the hook was really flimsy and fell off a few of them. Have they improved the design?
G'day Mel,
We're yet to hear of any negative feedback on the metal hook which is attached to the Oztrail Halo Tent Light. I actually have this light myself and find the hook to be really adaptable.
how do you turn on, where is the switch? can you add a photo for this
Hi Luke,Â
The switch is the black square in the front centre of the light. With each click of the switch it cycles through the high and low settings.Â
