Hi. I bought from rhe x pot range way back when they came out. The challenge was always having to mindful not to melt the pot! The stainless steel range looks to have a much bigger steel base so can they be used on larger gas cookers?

G'day Kim,
The base dimension on the Detour Kettle is 17cm in diameter, where as the original 1.3L X-Kettle was 15.5cm. In not a huge difference, but being collapsible with the silicone sides, you will still need to be mindful that the flames don't exceed the base & come up over the sides.
