A must have for light packers

An incredible piece of kit if you are travelling light. Our family of 5 travelled with 20kg checked in for a 3 week holiday to Vietnam in the hot season. We had two scrubba bags and washed quickly at night with some shampoo and treated stains with exit soap. We even left it to soak while watching tv and then roll with our feet. Bring some compact microfibre towels to lay wringed out clothing for additional rolling and wringing to dry extra fast.

Perfect for traveling and camping

Love my Scrubba. Perfect for traveling, and easy to use. Can wash clothes easily whilst staying in a motel room without water going everywhere and even better when camping

Cleans better than just a bucket

I love it as it seems to clean heaps better than just washing in a bucket & can be used as a good leg workout too

Seems pretty good

Arrived really quickly, haven't used it yet but it looks like it will be great to take away when we go camping. Don't like using the washing machines in camp ground when we don't have much washing to do!

Great bit of kit.

Multipurpose and it does a really good job with the clothes. Especially useful if you're backpacking when they charge the earth in hostels; no more queueing up for the machines.

We use our Scrubba bag when travelling in our caravan. It is excellent for small loads of washing every few days.

A good camping addition

Excellent for washing small items when on the road. Multi-purpose uses like a wet sack for keeping stuff dry.

Capacity1 answer

how many kilograms of clothing can this wash at once or is it best for only a few small items?

- Darawank(6 months ago)

G'day Ash,

I've checked this with the info provided by Scrubba's website, and they recommend a couple of T-shirts, a couple of pairs of underwear and a couple of pairs of socks per wash in this bag.

It can technically hold more clothes, but you won't be able to wash them very effectively.

Has anyone tried using this with soapberries?1 answer

I was thinking that soapberries would be great with this, being environmentally safe and not needing to rinse, but I was wondering if they’d just get smooshed?

- Katoomba (9 months ago)

G'day Bec,

Full disclosure, most of us didn't even know what soapberries were! But after asking around and doing some research, we're pretty sure they'd get smooshed if you used them in the Scrubba Wash Bag, unfortunately. You need to push on the bag to create some friction, so we're assuming that you'd smoosh your berries whilst doing that.

Air Valve1 answer

Could you confirm the black version has a twist air valve. Thanks,

- NSW(9 months ago)

G'day Neale,

The black version of the Scrubba Wash Bag is exactly the same as the green with the exception of colour. It does have the twist air valve like the green does.
