I brought 2 of the 8cm mugs which hold 300mls. I didn't like the feel of the roughish finish on the rim so I lightly sanded and polished the metal rim smooth where my mouth goes. Now it's much nicer to drink from.
Good simple and strong design, and effective. Maybe a lid could be part of the design sometime in the future.
Bought two of these in the larger size for husband, they're about the same size as your average coffee mug. They strong and well made and can really take a beating. He loves his coffee scalding hot and this mug did the job! No good for me for the opposite reason, i had the wait half a day for mine to cool down enough to drink ;)
The mug kept my coffee hot, was relatively light weight, and came back from a long trip still looking like new
Big handle. No sharp edges and above all...ccomfortable.
The 9 cm Stainless steel mug. On the page as size 9cm, but on my order was 450ml. I first purchased the size 8cm one and found it too small. If snowys list it as 450ml instead of size 9 and 350ml for the size 8 it would be much better. Keeps drinks warm and doesn't cool the water when you fill it. Please option a lid for them both.
I bought the small size(8) by measurement, but it is undersized and I had to buy the next size up (9) to get it right. A more exact measurement would be better. Its a nice fit on the mouth and insulation keeps it hot. A lid option would be an advantage.
light weight, hard-wearing, good insulation. It keeps my tea/coffee nice and hot the whole cup through!
These are excellent mugs. Stainless steel doesn't affect taste of coffee or tea, insulation means warmer for longer and not hot to hold. Had mine for over 5 years, when I lost 1 it was a no brainer what I was going to replace it with.
The cup is light weight, with thin walls - not as good as my other one, but they do what they are supposed to. We enhanced their effectiveness in the 4 degree desert temps by preheating with boiling water.
looking for something to boil water in for coffee without using a saucepan or billy(usually to big)
A double wall cup such as this is not ideal for use directly over a flame, it won't heat efficiently and may also damage the cup. I use a large enamel mug myself, which works perfectly and keeps it simple.
Could you tell me how many millilitres the 8 & 9 cm mugs hold please.
The Campfire SS 8cm Thermo Mug holds 350ml and the Campfire SS 9cm Thermo Mug holds 450ml.
