Fully featured, the Camelbak Mini MULE Kids Hydration Pack has all the features you a kid could need, wrapped up in pint-sized proportions.
A 1.5L reservoir combines with a plenty of space for cargo space, means your little ones can take their ‘essentials’ along with enough water to stay hydrated on their bike or walking trail.
Mesh throughout the back panel and shoulder straps keep children cool and comfortable and a built-in whistle provides some peace of mind for parents, and fun for the kids.
Hi there, can you please find out if the bladder is lead and phthalate free?
Fiona - Ringwood, VIC(3 years ago)
G'day Fiona,
Yes, Camelbak is lead and phthalate free. As far as I'm aware there are not too many reputable hydration brands around that would contain these things.

Any tips for leaking from the cap of the Mini mule1 answer
I find it almost impossible to screw the cap up with the o ring in the correct place. The bladder leaks and is annoying.
Jan - Charlestown(4 years ago)
G'dayJan,
They're a fairly tight fit, but as long as you line up the notches in the lid before you twist it then it shouldn't leak. If you think the item might be faulty please jump onto our warranty claims page and submit a claim for assessment.

What would be the minimum age that this would be suitable for?1 answer
My daughter is 3.5 years old and we’re keen to get her a hydration pack. If this is not suitable, are there others you can recommend?
Sam - 6162(4 years ago)
G'day Sam,
The Camelbak Mini Mule has a pack height of around 24cm and has fully adjustable straps. I'd double check by measuring your daughters back, from the shoulders down, to make sure that 24cm isn't going to be too long. If that fit looks ok to you it's going to be an excellent choice and will give her several years of well-hydrated adventures!

Is the reservoir BPA free2 answers
In the kids Camelbak?
Sue - Southport(5 years ago)
G'day Sue,
We know for certain that the larger reservoirs from Camelbak are BPA free, but there's no mention in regards to the Mini MULE. They look and feel exactly the same as the others though so I'd wager that they are. Let us know if you'd like us to follow up with our Rep and find out a definite answer. Cheers :)
Alexandra - Snowys(5 years ago)
G'day again Sue,
Yep, I have confirmed all Camelbak Reservoirs are BPA free.

Stock1 answer
Hi, again. I am wanting to buy 2 x camelbak mini mule in blue. I see they have stock available in the 17 Doherty St, Brendale QLD store. How can I find out how many they have in stock? I can get this delivered to a friend's address in Brisbane but her current delivery address is not that secure, she will be at a better address in 2 weeks. Is there any chance of paying and having them set aside for a few weeks then posted?
Thanks heaps.

G'day Charlotte,
You're welcome to give us a call on 1300 914 007 anytime you'd like to confirm our stock levels. Unfortunately, once you place your order online we'll start the process of packing and sending it as quickly as we can. My suggestion would be to leave it until your friend is at the new address then give us a call. We can still ship them to you from our Adelaide warehouse if we're out of stock in Brisbane.

Age recommendation1 answer
Hi, I note your previous comment about fitting a child probably until about age 10. My boy is 9 and is pretty tall for his age. What ‘adult’ hydration pack would you recommend as I don’t want to buy a child one that only lasts a little while. Thanks
Ananda - Raworth (6 years ago)
G'day Amanda,
I'm a pretty short adult (5'4") so I'm probably a good comparison! You'd probably be alright to look at any of the adult range I suspect. The Camelbak Mule 3L is a classic model and I've been using mine for, hmmmmm, five years I think with no plans to upgrade anytime soon. It can be compressed down and makes a great pack for just carrying water, but I'm always impressed with how much gear I can fit in there eg bike tools, food and rain jacket etc. Alternatively look at something like the Camelbak Classic 2.5L Crux if you really just want him to carry water and something small like keys & sunscreen.

Is the hydration pack removable?1 answer
If my daughter wants to take out the hydration pack can she do this?
Ange - 3113(6 years ago)
G'day Ange,
The hydration bladder can be taken out of the Camelbak Mini MULE Kids Hydration Pack, which allows you to clean it or just use the bag without having a hydration pack in it.

What age?1 answer
What age does this pack suit up to? Is it only for little kids?
Belinda - Carlingford(7 years ago)
G'day Belinda,
My 6-year-old daughter has one of these and it fits her pretty well. I would guess that it would fit her until she's about 10 but would then need to look at getting an adult one after that.
