Does this come with a different attachment for the back of the microphone piece to account for the depression/socket, or does it simply match the standard factory metal piece that most mics come with?

G'day Chris,

This comes with a magnetic attachment to go on the back of your microphone which will attach to the socket on the base. You'll just need to remove any brackets on your existing mic and then you can screw the new magnet piece into place. Then you will have a magnet on the back of the mic which will attach to the base and easily come on and off.
