Do these plates become hot when nursing them on the legs?

Yes, the Enamel plates will get a little warm if you've got a hit meal in them, so they're best suited to popping on a table, or using with a towel under them.

If you cook something with a high water content like soup would the bowl be damaged?

G'day Alex,

Great question! We haven't actually tried this however basing it on water boiled in an enamel kettle, it should be possible as long as its a broth type soup. It might be a bit of trial and error and if you do try it and it works ok, please let us know!
