From the first timers to the timeless tourers, the Dusk to Dawn Swag Pole Set by Darche is the bare bones of every outback swag slumber.
Their robust composite construction at 10mm in diameter offers strength and security amid the outback brutality, so your swag can go from slouched to sturdy again. Compatible with Dusk to Dawn models, the pole segments simply connect to create a dome.
Composite poles have greater flexibility compared to aluminum alternatives, with superior tensile strength across the span. Ultimately, they're strong but lightweight - and owing to their flexibility, are less prone to breakage.
Hitch your safe haven with the Darche Dusk to Dawn Composite Swag Pole Set.

As looking to replace poles on a Wingman of the Road 'Goose' swag can you advise assembled length of the 900 as likely closest in size.
G'day Andrew,
We don't currently have a Darche Dusk to Dawn 900 display to measure the exact length, however we've measured the sections of the composite swag pole set, and each of the three sections is 74cm, for a total pole length of around 210cm (once you account for the metal ferrule.
Hi Team, can you please advise the assembled length of the 900 and 1100 poles? I have a Crashpad king single I need new poles for which is 1000mm wide and pole length ~2140mm. Cheers
G'day Mike,
The 900 is too short, go the 1100 and trim the segments down a touch - you'll be laughing!
Hi there, will the 1100 pole set be a good fit for Burke and Wills redgum XL or should I upgrade to 1400? Thank you
G'day Fahd,
Couldnt tell you, sorry - we no longer sell Burke & Wills swags, so dont have the poles here to compare.
The Redgum XL is an 1100 wide swag, so I'd be inclined to go with that size, although the foot end pole is significantly smaller and will require being cut down to size.
Do these fit the bandit swag 1400 as a replacement upgrade.
G'day David,
The Bandit Swag 1400 will need slightly different poles that have a bend at the top. It would be best to get exact replacement poles through 23 Zero on their Spare Parts page.
Are these pole a direct replacement? I only ask because the pole I received with my Darche 900 swag came with pre bent poles. These look straight from the pictures. Thanks
G'day Bob,
Darche has revamped its swag poles, which are now composite material as a standard.
If you are replacing older aluminum poles, these will not only be compatible, but they're also an upgrade.
YES! It does fit, it’s a little more tight than the standard poles that come with a CrashPad swag. But in my opinion they are stronger and if you’re buying these to replace a CrashPad one that broke you can’t make a better choice. I’m now more confident come rain, hail or storm and no longer nervous about ratcheting my CrashPad to my roof rack for fear of bending or otherwise damaging the stock poles. In short - best upgrade you can make for a CrashPad other than a premium swag mattress
Thanks for the info Adam!
Your previous answer of trimming it down to fit another swag works if it needs to be reduced, but mine (Kings Dbl) needs the 1400 poles to be lengthened by 290mm. How could this be achieved?
G'day Grayzee,
The 1400 size doesn't refer to the length of the poles, it refers to the width of the swag that these poles are intended to be used with.
The full length of each of these poles when joined together is 248cm.
If this is not long enough for your swag, there's no way to lengthen them as far as I'm aware.
Will these work on other brands of swags Ie oztrail lawson?
G'day James,
As they're a basic pole set they may work on other swags, we just haven't tested them out.
The main consideration would be the length when compared to your original poles. These can be trimmed down to size though, so you'd be able to make it work.
