Good bag

I'm 6'3 wide shoulders and fits me well, would not recommend the wide sleeping bag if you need this in below 0 deg C and sleeping solo. The wider bags would allow warm air to be blown out when you move around when you're solo and have more dead space inside taking longer to warm up. I'm a cold sleeper and need a warm sleeping bag. I slept in approx 20 nights lowest was down to 2 deg C; (confirmed with device) was warm with good sleeping mat (using Exped Mega Mat). I know for me -5 would be the absolute coldest I'd want to be in this bag. Bought on sale for $99. Very good price for my purpose.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear Dave - this comes as a bit of a shock as these are known to be practically bomb proof. Please give us a call (1300 914 007), we'd like to know more and hopefully fix the problem. Laine :)

Very warm and comfy

I've spent a few nights in this - it's a very warm and comfortable bag. I like the hood shape - it will snug around my head nicely. The filling feels like it will stay put no matter how much I move around. I get the feeling this bag will get pretty close to it's -12 rating and I'm a pretty cold sleeper. Good bag which is excellent value for money.

can this be opened completely 1 answer

can it be opened completely to resemble a normal doona?

- 3124(2 weeks ago)

G'day Cecilia,

The Darche Cold Mountain 900 Sleeping Bag -12° comes with a full-length zipper allowing you to open the bag up like a doona. However, just be mindful that as it comes with a hood, that may get in the way if you're trying to use it as a doona.

Does the hollowfibre filling move inside the sleeping bag when you lay in it1 answer

When I lay in it it feels awesome but I'm not sure if the filling moves around inside the bag itself

- 6244(5 months ago)

G'day Samson,

The hollow fibre synthetic filling inside the Darche Cold Mountain Sleeping Bag shouldn't move. Basically, what you have is two separate sheets of synthetic fill that are stitched to the baffles of the outer liner and inner liner of the sleeping bag with an air gap through the middle. This is all part of creating the insulation required in allowing the bag to stay warm all the way down to -12C.

Can this bag be zipped to another?1 answer

If I had 2 of these, can they zip together to make a double?

- Fremantle (7 months ago)

G'day Lili,

You certainly can zip two the Cold Mountain 900 sleeping bags together, you just need to make sure you have a left and a right hand style.
