You can.  The tri-colour technology is actually in the dimmer switch itself, so as long as you are using a tri-colour dimmer switch, the older Orange/White lights will work on warm setting.

These bars are generally designed as an add on to a kit. If you're wanting to use just the 25cm bar then you'll need a dimmer switch, and either the Cig/Merit Extension Lead, or 240V Transformer, depending on the type of power source you'd like to use.

No, the Hard Korr 25cm Orange/White Led Light with Diffuser is not compatible with the original Hard Korr White Light gear.
It will only be compatible with the orange connectors on the Orange/White or 3 Colour Light sets.

We wouldn't recommend cutting off the end you don't use, you could zip tie it back out of the way so that it is there if you changed your plans or set up down the track.

My previous response may have answered your question, but the Orange/White LED Light Dimmer Switch will switch the light between the two colours as well as turn it on/off. The CLA is an abbreviation for cigarette lead adaptor, so you will need the Cig/Merit extension lead to run this bar as well as the dimmer switch. Merit is a special type of connector that is smaller than the Cig socket, some vehicles will have these fitted in the back of the car.

The 25cm Orange/White LED Light with Diffuser is designed as an add-on to the orange/white camp light kit. You can use it by itself but you will need the Orange/White Dimmer switch and a Cig/Merit LED Extension Lead, or a 240V to 12V transformer if you would like to run the unit directly from a standard power point.

The Korr Lighting 25cm Orange/White Led Light with Diffuser doesn't come with a dimmer, but you can find one here. They do have inbuilt magnets for easy mounting.
