Start ‘em young, they say. Start your kids on their camping career at home with an Oztrail Festival 2 dome tent. Easily set it up in the backyard, add sleeping bags and snacks, shut the back door and you’re done. Peace and quiet!

Cross pole construction means the Festival 2 is easy peasy to set up - get the kids to do it - and sturdy. The UVTex® 2000 fly will fend off a fall of rain and No-See-Um mesh will keep the critters out. Overall, this tent has the right qualities for camping in warmer conditions.

You’re not going to walk the Bibbulmun or Australian Alps Tracks with this tent that’s for sure. But for introducing the kids to camping in the backyard or for your favourite music festival this summer, the Festival 2 will keep you out of trouble.

  • Easy to pitch cross pole design
  • Breathable polyester inner
  • Heavy duty PE bucket floor
  • Lantern hook and storage pockets
  • Compact carry bag

Big Hit Dome Tent

We love this tent. Put it up i the lounge because it was wet and 3 yr old wanted to go camping. Sophie and Albert have tons of fun playing in it int he back yard. Great purchase NanaBoo.

Survived a volcano for 2 weeks

I took this 'festival' grade tent to one of the most extreme places on earth -> Mount Marum Lava Lake in Vanuatu. I camped on the top of the volcano for 2 weeks: gas mask required 24/7 and the acid rain never stops. This tent was by far the cheapest in our camp but it did keep me mostly dry. Big holes had started to open up and the rods were bent from the constant winds, but much to the dismay of the more experienced travellers, it was still in one piece. Maybe next time I'll take 2 with me.
