If you’re looking for a pack that’ll take you on an extended trip that has the right amount of strength and space to carry a very heavy load then the Deuter Air Contact 70+10 SL is the way to go. This Slim Line pack is great for women as it is caters to a narrower frame.

The suspension system is X shaped which allows for a bit of flexibility and support for a very heavy load. With plenty of padding on the back panel, shoulder straps, and hip belt you’ll be comfortable and get the support you need on the trail. The hip belt also pivots so you won’t be overwhelmed by a rigid pack.

You can adjust the harness up and there are load lifter straps which enables you to get the perfect fit. The U shaped opening on the middle of the pack allows you easier access to your gear, which is great for organization and bottom part can be left open or zipped up so you separate your gear easily. As a bonus this pack also comes with a rain cover for protection in adverse conditions, so you’ll be covered no matter what when you hit the trail.

  • Compression straps
  • 3 openings – top, middle, and bottom for easy access to gear
  • Pivoting hip fins
  • Aluminium X frame for flexibility and load distribution
  • Zipped pocket on hip belt for valuables
  • Internal valuables pocket
  • Top attachment ring, and loops for gear
  • Bottom wet gear compartment

A great bag

I love this bag already, it's really well made, strong and water resistant, even without the raincover that's included. Plenty of sneaky spots to put bits and pieces in, even one in the waist belt for easy access trail mix (for me at least!)
