Flame is very strong / lid catches on stove

Very hard to adjust flame to minimum intensity. The term hyper flame seems appropriate, if you need to cook something besides boiling things, this stove will burn it if not careful. Also the top lid catches on the metal base of the stove when closed. This was a major setback when I first used it, needed to cook but I was unable to open the stove. Ended up prying it and rendering any warranty useless but it was damaging the metal bit and lid or not eating. Stove still works but is full of dings.

G'day Camilo, thanks for sharing your review! Although we're a bit bummed that your lid has snagged the metal base. I don't blame you for prying it open yourself, but for future reference, please let us know so we can get straight onto Coleman for a quick repair or replacement. We hope you enjoy plenty more years cooking up a storm on this stove.

Powerful stove

Very powerul knobs and seems windproof (wasnt used in particularly windy conditions) . Uses the small coleman diposable gas cylinders up very quickly - one doesnt even last a whole weekend. Also food stains the surface very easily and is hard to remove.

Is this stove compatable with the regulated supply on a caravan. 1 answers

I have the caravan gas reticulated to a bayonet outlet for a stove.

We don't recommend this John, as a general rule the stoves we sell should be used with the hose and regulator that are supplied with them. Coleman also use a very specific regulator for their stoves which makes finding compatible fittings hard. You would be best using a secondary gas bottle for your stove, or if you really want to adapt it to your caravan I suggest speaking to a qualified gas fitter.

Can I use the hose that is supplied with the Fyrecadet straight on to a 9 kg gas bottle? Or do I need to get another hose with a regulator?1 answers

- DARWIN, NT(5 months ago)
Hi Chris, you can use the supplied hose with your 9kg gas bottle, you'll just need to get an adaptor for your POL fitting. Search Snowys code 20610, that's the one you need.

Difference between fyreknight and fyrecadet1 answers

I will be a lone camper i usually cook at home on a one pot menu. which sys will suit

- ELIZABETH EAST, SA(7 months ago)
Apart form the colour there are two main, but subtle differences between the two Michael. The FyreKnight burns a little hotter, and has a larger tougher casing/exterior which allows for bigger pots. For your purpose the FyreCadet would be more than suitable.

What gas bottles can be used with this?1 answers

Can the Coleman green bottles be used with this cooker?

- Tasmania(7 months ago)
Hey Sam, the Hyperflame Stoves come with a regulator to suit the disposable lightweight LPG canisters (sometimes referred to as a BOM fitting), they also come complete with a hose that fits between this regulator and a 3/8 BSP fitting gas cylinder. Should you wish to use a cylinder with the larger POL fitting such as your pkg BBQ bottle, then you can purchase an adaptor (item code 20610 on our website) to make this happen.

Could you give me the dimensions of the burners and whole unit?1 answers

- Heidelberg(8 months ago)
Hi Renee, thanks for asking. The actual burner is 10cm in diameter, while the pot support is 21cm in diameter. The whole stove is 59 x 37 x 13 cm. I hope this helps! If you've got any further questions feel free to give us a buzz on 1300 914 007.
